Dhaniya patte (noun.) also know as coriander leaves in english is, scientifically, called coriandrum sativum, and its leaves are called cilantro. The herb is used to add flavour to dishes. It is the plant related to celery, carrots and parsley. It is a common ingredient that can be used in marinades, curries, soups, chillies etc.
