Rajma (noun.)-  It is the common bean plant, a variety with large red kidney-shaped beans. It is used in the preparation of lightly spiced, creamy and a delicious Punjabi curry Dal makhani made with kidney beans, garlic, onions, tomatoes and spices. Kidney beans or Rajma is an excellent source of dietary fibres, has a low GI index, which makes it ideal for diabetics. It boasts of an array of antioxidants and is a natural detoxifier.
